Liz Mair is
a political and communications consultant. On August 3, 2016, she was invited on CNN’s
AC360 with Anderson Cooper. The host asked for her opinion of Donald Trump.
She said “His
message is being a loudmouthed dick, basically”.
CNN allows
vulgar slang words to be used on the air now. Or maybe, they only allow them if
they’re used to bash Trump.
“Dick” is a
vulgar slang word for “penis”. It also means a man who is regarded as mean or
contemptable.
CNN has
given us biased news for a long time. Now, they are giving us biased news with
vulgar slang words.
Liz Mair
was apparently proud of what she said. After the broadcast, she tweeted “Yes, I
just said "dick" live on @cnn #sorrynotsorry". She also retweeted
at least eight references to her vulgarity.
The next
day, she continued tweeting about it. She tweeted “And, oh yeah, I just said it
again: Trump is a dick. Deal with it. It's his MO, and frankly, he's embraced
it as part of his public image.”
CNN allowed
Liz Mair to have this moment. They allowed her to have her fifteen minutes of
fame.
On August
4, 2016, CNN even questioned the 1995 immigration status of Melania, Trump’s
wife. It appears that she never broke any immigration rules, but that didn’t
stop CNN from airing the allegations.
This is
what we have now; Trump being bashed 24/7 on CNN and political consultants
using vulgarity at Trump’s expense, trying to make a name for themselves.
If someone were
to use a similar phrase about Liz Mair, they would use the female equivalent
for “dick”. They would say “Liz Mair is a c* *t". (I don’t want to use such
vulgarity.)
I checked,
and a couple of people did use that vulgar phrase to describe Liz Mair even before
she made the Trump remark.
